What are Experiences?

An Experience is something meaningful you have done, lived through, or continue to do. It might be a career milestone, a personal achievement, or a part of your upbringing that shaped you.

Experiences can include:

  • Work and career: Building a company, launching a product, or taking on a new role.

  • Education: A course of study or a learning journey that helped shape your path.

  • Personal milestones: Moving countries, completing an endurance challenge, or making a significant life change.

  • Early life: An upbringing or formative experience that helps explain your perspective.

For example, “Went from barista to Head of Operations” tells a visitor more than a job title alone. “Grew up translating for my parents” gives them a different way to understand your background.

Experiences are highlights, not a complete résumé or a record of everything you have ever done. Experiences are generated from the knowledge you have added to your Delphi.

Explore Experiences on a profile

When Experiences are available on a profile:

  1. Browse the cards to get a quick sense of the person's background.

  2. Select a card to expand it and read more about that Experience.

  3. Look for suggested topics related to the Experience, or ask the person's Delphi your own question in chat.

An Experience can include a short title, supporting context such as a role or organization, a description, and suggested topics to explore.

For example, an Experience about building a first company could lead to questions like:

  • “How did you find your first customers?”

  • “What was the hardest decision you made?”

  • “What would you do differently today?”

Review your own Experiences

Experiences are generated by the knowledge available in your Delphi. Currently, you can add more content to your Delphi to get more accurate experiences on your profile. Editing experiences is directly will be available very soon.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Choose Report Issue with Experiences.

Frequently asked questions

Are Experiences only about work?

No. They can include education, upbringing, personal achievements, and other defining parts of your life, alongside professional milestones.

Can I add, rewrite, reorder, or delete my Experiences?

Editing is not available yet, but is coming very soon!
